How many Independents does it take to change a light bulb?

Well today’s LONG AWAITED decision of the Three/Two Amigos comes as little surprise to anybody that can see the big picture (the self serving interests of the Two Amigos).

It was always clear that they where only interested in siding with the party that could best guarantee that they could rule the roost for a full term of three years. Only the ALP could give them that, because if they went with the Coalition, come July 2011 the incoming Senate could most likely cause a trigger for a Double Dissolution of Government and an early election and a premature end to their newly gifted powers.

They have decided to Dance with the Devil on an Emissions Trading Scheme, a Mining Super Profits Tax (which the Greens have said they want to be 50% not 30%) and a National Broadband Network with an “open ended budget” just to name a few. Rather than supporting the TRUE NATIONAL INTERESTS and siding with the party that won the most primary votes, the most on 2pp and the most seats in the house.

The only true reason they strung out announcing their choice was “to make it look like they had agonised and lost sleep over coming to their decision”. At least Bob Katter had the courage of his convictions and didn't sell-out to the highest bidder.
